Sauganash Parent Night 2017

Great men do not arise by chance.  Parents play a pivotal role in helping their sons cultivate the proper ideals of manhood.  Among these is preparing their sons to understand sexuality in the context of true manliness.  The speaker, Alvaro de Vicente, will address what you can do to communicate this understanding, touching on four key areas:

• Fostering father-son communication
• Facilitating constructive uses of technology (video games, internet, smart phones, etc.)
• Navigating standards of freedom
• Developing ideals of manliness to emulate

  After the talk, there will be a brief presentation on Sauganash activities for 2017-18.  

  A reception will follow.

Details

Speaker: Mr. Alvaro de Vicente, Headmaster of The Heights, a school for boys in grades 3-12 located in Washington, DC. He frequently speaks to parents about raising boys.

When: Friday, May 5, 7:30pm. The talk will last 45 minutes, followed by Q&A.
